- 20 –24 jumbo pasta shells
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Cook the pasta shells:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook shells according to package instructions until al dente.
Drain and set aside to cool.
Prepare the filling:
In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Bake:
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
