- 1 lb ground turkey 93% lean recommended
- 1 tbsp sesame oil or olive oil
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
- ¼ cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp Sriracha or chili paste optional, for heat
- 1 8 oz can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- 2 green onions sliced
- 1 head butter lettuce or romaine leaves separated and washed
- Optional toppings: shredded carrots chopped peanuts, cilantro, lime wedges%
Add Turkey & Sauce:
Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until no longer pink. Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and Sriracha (if using).
